The cave of Sykia is located on the west side of Milos.
What makes it special is that part of the roof has collapsed, creating a hole overlooking the sky. It is probable that the collapse occurred after an earthquake.
A natural skylight was created by the fall letting the sun's rays illuminate the interior of the cave and create beautiful colors.
The beach owes its name to the fig tree that exists near the opening of the roof. Inside there is a small beach with pebbles, stones and crystal clear waters where the visitor can swim.
