Hiking in Milos 2026 — Trail Programme by the Mountain & Sea Friends Club

The Milos Mountain & Sea Friends Club (Όμιλος Φίλων Βουνού και Θάλασσας Μήλου) has announced its nature and hiking trail programme for the period 21 April to 11 June 2026, inviting both residents and visitors to discover the island through organised walks in the wild landscapes of Milos.

About the Hiking Programme

The club organises regular guided hikes across Milos, covering coastal paths, inland routes and trails that reveal the island's volcanic geology, traditional villages and natural landmarks that most visitors never see. The walks vary in difficulty and length, making them accessible to a wide range of participants — from families to experienced hikers.

Departures take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00pm and Sundays at 11:00am, from the OTE parking area in Adamas.

For information and participation, contact the club directly at: Tel. 6978 585 487

Why Exploring Milos on Foot Matters

The paths and trails of Milos tell a different story from the one told by the sea. The island's interior hides abandoned mines, centuries-old chapels, panoramic viewpoints and wild volcanic terrain shaped by millennia of geological activity. The Mountain & Sea Friends Club has been preserving and promoting these routes for years, keeping alive a tradition of outdoor exploration that is central to life on the island.

We at Poseidon Milos deeply respect the work of this club. Milos is an island that rewards those who explore it fully — both its paths and its waters. The combination of a morning hike through the hills and an afternoon on the sea is one of the most complete ways to experience everything this extraordinary island has to offer.

Discover Milos from the Sea Too

Once the trails have shown you Milos from above, the next step is to see it from the water. Many of the coastal landmarks you'll spot from the hiking paths — Kleftiko's white rock towers, the hidden entrance to Sykia cave, the wild shoreline of Polyaigos — can only be reached by boat. Our Milos boat rental service lets you explore at your own pace, with no licence required, while our Milos cruises take you to the most spectacular spots along the southern coast with an experienced skipper.

The island is best experienced both ways. The Mountain & Sea Friends Club knows that better than anyone — it's right there in their name.
